The idea of this project is to offer Safety Management System (SMS) Professional Diploma in Aviation, which will be an all-in-one certificate and reduce to minimum time need to provide such experts in this field. It will also be a cost-effective training encouraging aviation companies to promote personnel upskilling without think of their budget during this troublesome times.

 

OBJECTIVES

  • Increase the capacities of VET providers especially in the fields of management, governance, inclusion, quality assurance, innovation, and internationalisation.
  • Improve the knowledge, technical, managerial, and pedagogical skills of VET teachers and trainers.
  • Integrate the input from teachers/trainers, VET learners and employers, from private sector in particular, into curriculum, profile design and training reform.
  • Improve the level of competences, skills, and employability potential of VET learners by developing new and innovative VET education programs, especially those delivering key competences, basic language, and ICT skills.
  • Inclusion and Diversity, by proactively engaging female trainees and by aiming to train persons who will not consist of more than 2/3 of the same gender.
  • Digital dimension and in particular 3D digitalization.

 

AIMS

The project aims to develop an accredited Professional Diploma in Aviation Safety Management Systems, lasting two years and consisting of 72 Credit Hours (C.H.) in accordance with Jordania’s National Qualifications Framework and legislation. It also includes the creation of three post-graduate MOOCs on the same topic, delivered jointly by four participating Jordanian education institutions and their Lifelong Learning Centers. Focus groups with industrial stakeholders will be conducted to ensure the curriculum and MOOC subjects align with the needs of the local aviation industry.
