In an era of continuous advances in air transport technologies, and an increasing push towards sustainable aviation, it’s an exciting time to enter the world of aviation  management. The industry’s goal of net zero emissions by 2050, together with ongoing geopolitical tensions and uneven global economic development, require managers and leaders of the future with the knowledge and skills to navigate this uncertainty. Kazimieras Simonavicius University started the programme Aviation Management (MSc) to provide aviation professionals the ability to get contemporary European university education at the master level in the field of aviation management, under the Management field of Studies.  The Aviation Management MSc is designed to equip students with the skills required to pursue a successful career in various sectors of the air transport industry, including airlines, airport companies and authorities, civil aviation departments, air transport consultancies and aerospace companies.

 

Study methods:

Lectures are conducted on-line on video conference platforms ( Teams, Moodle, and other). Students have individual meetings with professors, one-to-one teaching, individual and group work, live lectures, case studies, problems-solving, future forecast methodologies, etc. Once a semester, face- to-face modules and exam session take place on-campus in Vilnius (Lithuania) lasting for two weeks. The study programme consists of over 12 different aviation and management study subjects.

 

Aviation Management programme seeks the combined result – to prepare specialists in the field of aviation management who would have:

  • analytical, innovative, critical thinking and methodological framework allowing to monitor and evaluate complex aviation business environment;
  • modern general management skills, that are relevant while working in various teams and business organizations, regardless of sector;
  • specific knowledge of the aviation sector, its development, global trends and significance for the countries;
  • the competence that are relevant while working in the aviation sector, taking into account the specifics and features of this sector.

  • Basketball is the most popular sport and said to be the second religion of Lithuanians.  Several Lithuanian basketball players have gone up to the NBA’s Hall of Fame.   • Lithuania is famous for being the only country in the World with its own official scent, called “The Scent of Lithuania”.
  • The Easter eggs are not brought here by some cute and fluffy bunnies, it is the Easter Granny (“Velykų Bobute”) who does that job in Lithuania.
