The Council is an advisory body of the University, the purpose of which is the determination, analysis and monitoring of the University’s strategic development directions, as well as the maintenance and development of strategic international, political, business and cultural relations, attracting financial funds and investment capital. The University Council is formed for a term of three years from the rectorate of the University, heads of the most important departments and students, distinguished Lithuanian and foreign scientists, representatives of business, politics, culture and society.

The Senate is a collegial advisory body for the academic affairs of the University, exercising the functions assigned to it in the Statutes of the University. The Senate is elected for a term of three years. Members of the Senate may be members of the University’s academic community and administration, students, as well as employees of other research and study institutions.
