Prof. Dr. Franz Kasper Krönig is an accomplished academic with expertise in philosophy, musicology, and linguistics, having obtained his M.A. from the University of Cologne in 2004. He earned his Ph.D. in Sociology in 2006 from the University of Flensburg, with a dissertation on systems theory related to the Economization of Society, which was published by Transcript in 2007.
Prof. Krönig has taught various subjects at German universities up to 2013 before joining the Cologne University of Applied Sciences. By 2016, he was appointed full professor for Cultural Pedagogy and Didactics and later became Head of Studies for the education program in 2017. From 2020 to 2023, he led a state-funded research program on digitalization in education (Curriculum 4.0).
Currently, Prof. Krönig is contributing to a “Metatheory of the Educational Sciences” and working on a significant EU project aiming at deep institutional transnational cooperation, showcasing his leadership in educational innovation. He is also preparing a publication on the concept of transformation, highlighting his interdisciplinary research and collaboration efforts.
