KSU / KSU Senate grants affiliated person titles to three members of the academic community

The Senate of Kazimieras Simonavičius University, meeting on December 12, 2025, decided to grant the titles of affiliated persons to three members of the academic community (in accordance with Clause 8.2.4 of the Statute of Kazimieras Simonavičius University and the Description of the Procedure for Granting the Title of an Affiliated Person of Kazimieras Simonavičius University, approved by the Rector’s Order No. V-2025-073 of December 10, 2025):

prof. habil. dr. Vilija Targamadze – the title of affiliated professor of Kazimierz Simonavičius University;
prof. dr. Léo-Paul Dana – the title of affiliated professor of Kazimierz Simonavičius University;
assoc. prof. dr. Volodymyr Pylypenko – the title of affiliated associate professor of Kazimierz Simonavičius University.

Prof. (Habil.) Dr Vilija Targamadzė

A habilitated Doctor of Social Sciences (Education), Professor at Vilnius University, and a member of the Senate of Kazimieras Simonavičius University. She has extensive academic and research experience in the fields of education policy, quality of education, and educational management. She has published nine monographs and scholarly studies and more than 100 academic articles. In the past, she has headed national education institutions and continues to participate actively in international research and education projects.

Prof. dr. Léo-Paul Dana

An internationally recognised scholar in entrepreneurship and management and is currently a Professor at the Rowe School of Business, Dalhousie University, Canada. His research interests include entrepreneurship, social capital, regional economic development, and small business. He has worked and taught at numerous universities across North America, Europe, and Asia and is the author and editor of many scholarly publications, books, and academic journals. Prof. Dr Dana actively collaborates with Kazimieras Simonavičius University, and his most recent publications increasingly appear with KSU affiliation, contributing to the strengthening of the University’s international profile and academic reputation. He associates his scholarly activities with the Next Society Institute (NSI) affilieted with Kazimieras Simonavičius University.

Assoc. prof. Volodymyr Pylypenko

A Doctor of Law, Associate Professor, Meritorious Lawyer of Ukraine, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Lithuania, and Vice-Rector for Research at Kyiv Law University of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

In 2025, Kazimieras Simonavičius University and Kyiv Law University signed a Memorandum of Cooperation aimed at strengthening academic ties and developing joint research, digital innovation, and project-based initiatives between higher education institutions in Lithuania and Ukraine.
