Professor Dr Léo-Paul Dana, a researcher at KSU and the Next Society Institute (NSI), has been recognized as one of the world’s most highly cited entrepreneurship scholars. In 2023, he was ranked the most cited entrepreneurship professor in France; in 2024, he received the same recognition in Canada. In 2025 he has also been recognized as the most highly cited entrepreneurship researcher in Lithuania.
Professor Dr Léo-Paul Dana’s scholarly work is distinguished by a broad approach to entrepreneurship, emphasizing that business is not solely an economic phenomenon. In his work, he demonstrates that entrepreneurial practices in different countries around the world are shaped by culture, social ties, community values, and historical context. He encourages entrepreneurship to be viewed not only through the lens of formal market mechanisms, but also by considering the real forms of economic life that have developed in local contexts.
