On 27 March this year, Dr Helga Marija Kauzonė, Vice-Rector for Research at Kazimieras Simonavičius University (KSU), took part in the international interdisciplinary conference “Europe Today and Tomorrow – Economy, Society and Environment (ETAT II)”, held at the Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz, Poland.
Dr H. M. Kauzonė was also a member of the conference’s Scientific Committee and actively contributed to shaping its scientific programme.
During the conference, the Vice-Rector presented her research-based topic, “The Maturity of Innovation Systems: Capacity and Research Workforce Structure”, which examines aspects of assessing the maturity of innovation systems, with particular attention to their capacities and the structure of human resources in research.
“I would like to note that this topic — systems theory and the algorithm that has been developed — would, in essence, require a separate specialised conference. The purpose of the presentation at this conference was to introduce conference participants to the research I am conducting. In the future, I plan to further develop this line of research and to present more work encompassing various systems, such as healthcare, education and other fields. All of this research will be published and, in the longer term, I would plan to initiate a separate conference dedicated to the subject of systems theory.”
KSU’s participation in and contribution to the organisation of the conference, as well as to its scientific programme, helps to strengthen the University’s international visibility and expand academic cooperation. Kazimieras Simonavičius University is also one of the co-organisers of this conference.
