About the programme

Linguistics is a unique and the only programme of this kind in Lithuania, standing out from others by the connections of linguistic knowledge with the modern needs of knowledge, creativity, innovation economy, and competences of medias and communication.

This degree programme is designed to train the next generation of linguistic specialists with highest qualification, able to understand the role of language with changes affected by digital technologies and global world, in a multilingual and multicultural environment.

Students not only will acquire all basic competencies for competitive work in all fields requiring comprehensive and consistent knowledge of the Lithuanian language and also the knowledge of language industries, linguistic technologies, modern language philosophy, linguistic information dissemination and language communication mandatory in the modern world. Moreover, students will master the latest methods of linguistic analysis, design and management, and be able to use the creative linguistic powers to generate competitive ideas of business, culture, and social initiatives.


The social partners of the programme offer attractive opportunities of practising in public relation companies, IT companies, public policy sector, publishing houses, editorial offices etc.
